A top Soviet aerospace delegation is due to visit United Technologies company Hamilton Standard in November to investigate joint deals on propfans, propellers and environmental control systems (ECS) for a new generation of Soviet airliners.
The visit comes shortly after news that Rockwell Collins is set to supply a full avionics fit to the Ilyushin Il-96M and that competitor Honeywell is hoping to equip a Tupolev Tu-204 in time for it to appear at the 1993 Paris air show (Flight International, 16-22 October).
