Abstract :

Aircraft from Russia and other former Soviet countries were the main feature of the 1992 Farnborough International Air Show. For example, a Tupolev TU-204 transport powered by Rolls-Royce RB-211 engines was one of the most interesting aircraft at the show. Several former Soviet aircraft manufacturers hope to sell their aircraft to Western companies by equipping them with Western engines and cockpit systems. Other aircraft on display and aircraft industry news revealed at the air show are also discussed.
