BMW-Rolls-Royce AeroEngines is introducing its new line of engines after receiving 200 orders for its BR700/710 series engines. Gulfstream Aerospace has agreed to buy the engines for $500 million to be used on the new Gulfstream V. The BR700 family has the potential to be a very important engine for regional carriers. Many regional aircraft may end up being powered by the BR700 series, including Canadair Inc's Global Express business jet, Airbus Industrie's A319 and the Fokker BV 130.
