Abstract :

Fox Broadcasting has purchased WGBS(TV) in Philadelphia from Combined Communications for $57 million. The current Fox affiliate in the market, WTXF(TV), is likely to see a drop in its value of about $100 million now that it has lost its affiliation. Fox has told the FCC that it plans to start a nightly news broadcast at 10 p.m. which will run for either 30 or 60 minutes.
