Abstract :

Biman Bangladesh Airlines is making its way in the industry and is expected to be profitable in 1993-1994. The Bangladeshi airlines was formed in 1972, and has received support from the United Nations Development Program. In the airline's early years, donated aircraft from India, Japan, Australia, the Netherlands, Kuwait and Pakistan were used. Biman is seeking financing for acquiring aircraft and has come a long way since the days when it was dependent on the government and foreign donors for assistance.
