WTXF-TV, the Fox network affiliate, is down to three choices in its search for a new headquarters: a building in Bryn Mawr, an office in the Wanamaker Building, or a raincheck.

A decision will be made within 45 days, said Channel 29's business manager, Kent Von Hertsenberg. It will either pick a new home or negotiate a short-term renewal of the station's lease at Fourth and Market streets.

An idea to convert the troubled NewMarket plaza on South Second Street into a studio and offices for Channel 29 has been nixed, said Herb Vederman, deputy mayor for economic development.

Channel 29 has already received the needed approvals from Lower Merion in case it decides to move to the site next to the Bryn Mawr SEPTA station, at 40 Morris Ave. The local zoning board granted variances last month...
