Abstract :

Fox Television has purchased Philadelphia UHF station WTXF from Paramount Stations Group for $200 million, ending affiliate swapping activity in that city. WTXF is Fox's 10th owned and operated station. Its owned and operated stations now enjoy 21.3% coverage. Fox's acquisition of WTXF makes it likely NBC will acquire or affiliate with CBS-owned WCAU.
