Abstract :

Disney has announced the creation of Disney Interactive, a division which will focus on the multimedia industry. Steve McBeth, president of Disney Interactive, indicated that the company hopes to develop, publish and license entertainment and educational software for the children's market. Plans are afoot to produce and distribute 35-40 software titles in 1996. Disney Interactive, which will start with 100 employees and expand threefold by the end of 1995, plans to use talented people from inside and outside the company.
