Abstract :

The St. Louis, MO division of the ABC Broadcast Group will move to KDNL-TV Channel 30 in early 1995. The announcement of this move has ended speculation regarding ABC's fate when KTVI-TV Channel 2, its current affiliate, becomes a FOX affiliate by spring 1995. Observers expected ABC to move to a VHF station, but ABC decided to join Channel 30, a UHF station, due to its affiliations in other cities. ABC officials emphasize that the decision was made from a perspective extending beyond the St. Louis market.
