Abstract :

Swedish combat-aircraft will soon focus their operations in Svenska Flygvapnet wing F7 in Satenas in southern Sweden as part of the base's conversion into a centralized tactical training and conversion center for the JAS39 Gripen. The entire Swedish air force will eventually be comprised entirely of the multi-role JAS39, which is being developed by the Industrigruppen (IG) JAS. Construction of Gripen hangar space will begin at the end of 1994.
