FAIR CITY actress Amelia Crowley says she's living out every woman's fantasy by having an on-screen affair.

But the 36-year-old, who plays feisty two-timing businesswoman Fiona, admits she thinks that cheating on someone you love is disgusting.

Amelia said: "Fiona is not a superficial bitch - even though she is having an affair with Paul she does love her husband James and that's what makes her an interesting character.

"In the last few weeks James has realised what's been going on.

"He pretended to Fiona that he was going away on business.

"But instead of going to Cork he followed her to Paul's where he knew she'd spent the night.

"James has cancer and Fiona is about to find out the truth about his illness.

"And I think because of what is going on in his life, he's not going to confront her in the way most people would.

"When you are faced with death and an affair it's different - James just wants to have the relationship and keep whatever love he can get from Fiona now, even if it is a lie.

"James is such a lovely man - I keep scolding the actor Clive Geraghty who plays him because his whole demeanour is so loveable he is making me look like a wagon.
