ELLENVILLE, N.Y. -- Continuing its year-long centennial celebration, Congregation Ezrath Israel, the Greater Ellenville Area-based synagogue, today announced that Dr. Lawrence H. Schiffman, one of the world's foremost experts on the Dead Sea Scrolls and chair of New York University's Skirball Department of Hebrew and Judaic Studies, will be a Scholar-in-Residence from June 1, Friday, to June 3, Sunday.

Dr. Schiffman's presentations will begin Friday evening, June 1 at 8:30 pm following evening services and dinner when he will address the topic, "Judaism, Islam and Israel's Crisis with Terrorism."
