Abstract :

The European future large aircraft (FLA) program will be managed by Airbus Industrie and a consortium of its partners under the name FLA Euroflag. A defense subsidiary will be formed under Airbus Industrie that will be responsible for minimizing costs and delays on the project. Meanwhile, several engine manufacturers have announced their plans to develop a high-powered turboprop engine for the FLAs, while BMW Rolls-Royce says that it will be presenting its own design.
