Abstract :

The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art will open in Jan. 1995 with an exhibition featuring its permanent collection and major works depicting the impact of the photographic image in art and world perception. 'Public Information: Desire, Disaster, Document' includes the photographic series 'The Americans' by Robert Frank, Gerhard Richter paintings, a videotape by John Baldessari and other artworks.
