Abstract :
Holiday software purchases in Dec 1996 emphasized existing trends. Market researcher PC Data says shoppers continued buying best-selling games, such as Broderbund's Myst and Virgin's Command & Conquer: Red Alert. Meanwhile, Disney's 101 Dalmations led the list of education titles, and Disney's Toy Story Activity Center and Toy Story Animated Storybook occupied the second and fourth places, respectively. In the education category, Broderbund's Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego finished second. In the Personal Productivity Titles category, Broderbund's Print Shop Deluxe III and Print Shop Ensemble III placed first and second, respectively. Among Utilities Titles, Symantec's Norton AntiVirus for Windows 95 was first.
