The KV-SS50EX is a single-sided scanner priced from $6,229. The KV-SS55EX is a two-sided scanner priced from $8,399. The scanners include Panasonic Image Enhancement software that separates photography from text in scanned images. Microtek Lab's $159 PageWiz personal scanner is designed for the home or small-office market. The PageWiz provides 300 x 600-dpi resolution and includes document management and image editing software.
