Abstract :
KDNL, Channel 30 needs to institute some changes if it is to position its newscasts against those of its competitors in the market. Its newscasts' major problems lie in two areas, namely, overall image and anchor team. The station gives the impression that it is not serious about the news, as evidenced by only two newscasts daily, and lacks a feeling of depth. As for its anchor team, Don Marsh and Leslie Lyles have no apparent chemistry and their actions appear contrived. Its support staff, on the other hand, appears insufficient, with too few reporters, sports and weather personnel.
