Abstract :

This study aims to investigate, from the opinion of managers and guests the relationship between management practices in commercial hospitality and the competitiveness of hotel services at the strategic level of management. It is a cross-sectional, analytical inferential analysis based on a representative sample of managers and Guests selected from lodging facilities of the Belem Tourist Polo (PA). Exploratory analysis of descriptive statistics of the data is part of the methodology the quantitative type. The data evaluated by BioEstat programs version 5.4 and Statistical Analysis Software (SAS) version 9.4. The correspondence between Manager and Guest responses was measured through the correlation coefficient (r) Pearson. The comparison between the lodging facilities occurred by analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results suggest that the correlation in the opinion of managers and guests is not significant at the strategic management level. Nevertheless, the result of the comparison between the commercial accommodation units (MHC) reveals that large apartments have better results in relation to small and medium businesses. The results of the research also point to the satisfaction of the guest in relation to the provision of the services provided by the collaborators, however, the top management must offer learning training to qualify and requalify the workers, and, at the same time, to encourage them to increase knowledge And proactive innovative entrepreneurship in solving problems related to everyday in the areas technological, environmental and operational issues in (MHC) to become competitive. O presente estudo objetiva investigar, a partir da opiniao dos gestores e hospedes, a relacao entre a pratica gerencial na hospitalidade comercial e o diferencial competitivo dos servicos hoteleiros no nivel estrategico de gestao. Metodologicamente, optou-se pela pesquisa transversal (seccional), analitica inferencial, com amostra representativa de gestores e hospedes de empresas hoteleiras do Polo Turistico Belem (PA). Para a analise exploratoria de dados, seguiu-se o modelo quantitativo da estatistica descritiva. Os dados foram avaliados com a aplicacao dos programas BioEstat versao 5.4 e Statistical Analysis Software (SAS) versao 9.4. A ferramenta estatistica aplicada a correspondencia entre respostas de Gestor e Hospede foi a do Coeficiente de Correlacao (r) de Pearson. A comparacao entre os Meios de Hospedagem Comercial (MHC) deu-se pela Analise de Variancia (ANOVA). Os resultados atestam que a correlacao entre a opiniao de gestores e hospedes nao e significante no nivel da gestao estrategica. Em contrapartida, a comparacao entre os (MHC) revelou que os alojamentos de grande porte apresentam melhores indices em relacao aos de pequeno e medio porte. Os resultados da pesquisa tambem apontam a satisfacao do hospede em relacao a prestacao dos servicos disponibilizados pelos colaboradores, embora a alta gerencia, para tornar-se competitiva, precise, dentre outras acoes, oferecer treinamento de aprendizagem para qualificar e requalificar os trabalhadores, e, ao mesmo tempo, incentiva-los a ampliar conhecimentos e a pratica empreendedora inovadora proativa na resolucao de problemas afetos a questoes cotidianas nas areas tecnologicas, ambientais e operacionais nos (MHC).
