If someone asks to name the very opposite of so-called rednecks, likely an answer will be "Hollywood celebrities." Because of this liberal image of Hollywood, some celebrities and their communities like Hollywood megachurches often try to hide their conservative beliefs when they are revealed.

A recent happening between Ellen Page and Chris Pratt is a prime example. When the Umbrella Academy star Ellen Page criticized his church, Zoe Church, for being "infamously anti-LGBTQ," Chris Pratt, famous for his appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy, defended his church: "I go to a church that opens their doors to absolutely everyone." According to Washington Post and Church Clarity, his church is known for its homophobic atmosphere. The church pastor appeared in a film that disparages homosexuality as "sexual brokenness" and encouraged the church members to vote against same-sex marriage in 2017.
