Abstract :

Low cost digitizers, scanners and peripherals promise to bring realism in computer graphics to personal computers. There are problems, however, for display technology is lagging behind electronic imaging. More powerful microprocessor chips may possibly bring more speed, more memory and easier usage to PCs. When the new hardware comes, software planners must decide what to do with it.
