1/3 With the holidays approaching, new programs for kids are coming out faster than I can install them. So here's a quick look at some recent releases.
All recommended, these can be played on PCs or Macs, except for Oregon Trail. Even the Barbie game is Mac-compatible, which hasn't been the case in the past.
Space limitations preclude me from listing system requirements for each title, but, as with most kids' titles, specs are relatively minimal. Check the contact information or the package in stores to be sure.

Magic Artist Studio
It's not often that a title appeals strongly to both my 4- and 7-year-old daughters, but Disney's Magic Artist Studio (Disney Interactive, $29.99; all ages) sure did the trick.
