Which would you like first: the good news or the bad news?

The good news is that Mr Boela and Professor Pannett have produced a comprehensive yet readable guide to the laws applicable to the English hospitality industry. Their book is accessible to readers who are not fully trained in legalese, and is presented in a manner which simplifies the process of locating and understanding relevant subject areas and cases.

The book begins with the traditional `Overview of the Legal System', and then presents a series of chapters wherein relevant areas of law are explained in satisfactory detail. The authors have taken a novel and refreshing approach to chapter organisation: instead of dividing the material into the orthodox legal categories of contracts, tons, agency law etc, each chapter presents the law relevant to a particular aspect of the hospitality industry.
