If you think the Grammys are long and predictable, then you haven't been to the Tejano Music Awards.
Clocking in at more than five hours, not counting awards given out before the show began, the 17th Annual Tejano Music Awards held Saturday at the Alamodome could also have been called the Quintanilla Honors --as in the Quintanilla family of Corpus Christi. Selena dominated the show when she was alive and still managed to earn three awards almost two years after her tragic death, while the family also earned awards for various other projects.
Selena probably would have won more awards, too, but her second posthumous album, ''Siempre Selena,'' was released too late last year to receive nominations.
However, the single ''Siempre Hace Frio,'' a mariachi ballad originally written for the ''Don Juan de Marco'' film soundtrack, was eligible. That was all it took for Selena to win song of the year and the Tejano crossover award.
