London’s Latin music festival is celebrating 25 years. We speak to founding director Andy Wood and current director Elena Beltrami for a short oral history

ANDY: Como No had been promoting music from Latin America for 15 years before we set up La Linea in 2001. The plan was to create a critical mass where we could introduce new artists and new music and encourage audiences to join us in taking a chance. The Royal Festival Hall gave us four dates in April to programme and take the financial risk. In the end all four shows sold out and 10,000 people came. The opening night...
