ESCAPED CONVICT'S STORY.
(E1OM OUR OYw COBRESPiONDENT. )
PARIS, AUG. 3.
A man named Olier, who escaped from prison and has been recaptured at Qliimper, Brittany, has told the local magistrate that he and a fellow-prisoner who escaped with hin had undertaken to make an attempt on the life of M. Poincar6 in Paris. His fellow-prisoner, he declared, is already in Paris in pursuance of the plans arranged.
The two men, according to OHler's story, met a number of Auarchists, who, in return for food, clothing, and money, persuaded them to join in the plot. Police inquiries are stated to have shown that Olier is in fact an Anarchist and in touch with other Anarchists, and a search is being made for his alleged fellowconspirator.
In a further examination before a Paris magistrate yesterday the Communist Gustave Bouvet, who fired on the Presidential procession on July 14, again varied his story. He said that the first carriage, in which, as he thought, XL Miflerand was seated, passed before he was ready, and he therefore fired at the second carriage, in which he supposed AL Poincare was.
