The Hon. Windham Baring, a managing director and assistant secretary of the financial house of Messrs. Baring Brothers and Company, died yesterday at his house, 57, Portland-place, W.

Born in 1880, the second son of the late Earl of Cromer, the distinguished administrator of Egypt. and brother of the present peer, recently appointed Lord Chamberlain, Mr. Baring was educated at Eton and Christ Church, Oxford. During the war he served as a lieutenant in the R.N.V.R. In addition to his connexion with Messrs. Baring Brothers and Co., he was a director of the Buenos Ayres Great Southern Railway Company, Limited. In 1913 he married Lady Gweneth Ponsonby, youngest daughter of the eighth Earl of Bessborougb, who, with three sons, survives him.
