"Sidelights"
Maurice Zeitlin told CA: "The questions addressed in my works could not have been asked or answers to them sought, in the way I sought them, if I had simply accepted the then conventional conception of what a sociological problem is (antiseptic, `value neutral'), and how it should be posed and solved (ahistorically). Rather, I have tried through my writings to engage some of the momentous questions of our time, on class domination and class conflict, on reform and revolution. Only such questions, which touch the essential and whose answers reveal dangerous truths, are worth asking and worth trying to answer."
Some of Zeitlin's work has been translated into Japanese, Spanish, Swedish, German, Portuguese, Arabic, Persian, and other languages.
