SCOTLAND. A Boy Drowned.—On Thursday night Charles Macdonald, boh of Alexander MaoHonald, seaman, was drowned at Montrose harbour by falling into the river at the deep water berth. Fatal Fall. —On Sunday afternoon, a man dressed like a labourer, and evidently about thirty years of age, fell from the rocks at Ravenscraig Castle, Kirkcaldy, to the beach below, a distance of about eighty feet. He was killed on the spot. Laudanum Poisoning Cask. - Charles Dunstone, a commercial traveller, (lied in Glasgow Royal Infirmary on Sunday from poisoning. He was found unconscious in his house on Saturday night, with two bottles containing dregs of laudanum by his side. Driving Fatality.—A sad driving fatality took place near Cupar Fife late on Friday night, a farmer named David Walker, tenant of Kaster Balgarvie, being thrown from hia gig and killed at the turning from the Kilmaron Road into the drive leading np to his farm. Deceased waa a well-known Clydesdalo breeder. Dundee Church Broken into.—On Thursday, the Dundee police discovered that Logie Parish Church, situated in the west end of the town, had been broken into during the night. A cupboard had been opened and a small sum of money taken away, while a quantity of clothing belonging to the Women's Guild was scattered about the floor. Glasgow Stbket Fatality.—Catherine Rooney or Newall, ft widow, residing at Steel ptreet, Glasgow, was killed on Saturday afternoon by being run over by a horse and lorry. Deceased was on her way home down Saltmarket when she was knocked down and bo severely injured that she died a few minutes later. Robert Wilson, the driver, has been detained pending inquiry. Charge ok Murdek at Dundeh. —In Dundee Sheriff Court on Saturday, Peter Stewart, a labourer, was brought up on a charge of murder, it beiug alleged that he caused tho death of Richard M'Arthur, a travelling tinsmith or hawker, by striking him on the head and body with a broom, and throwing him dowD a stair in a house in Montrose.
