BURBANK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 19, 1995--WarnerActive announced the availability of its new interactive and educational CD-ROM game, "Where's Waldo? at the Circus" for Windows.
Based on the Where's Waldo? character, the CD-ROM introduces problem solving, deduction skills and critical thinking to children 4-9.
Developed by Imagination Pilots Entertainment, the game features search-and-find activities from the Where's Waldo? books. "Where's Waldo? at the Circus" will be available for between $30 and $40 nationally wherever software is sold, including Software Etc., Fry's and Electronic Boutique.
Consumers can call 800/MY-DEALER to locate their nearest retailer and may preview the title by downloading a free demo from WarnerActive's World Wide Web Home Page at http://www.warneractive.com.
"Children have been interacting with Waldo for years, so it seemed only natural to bring him to the CD-ROM format and take that interactivity to a new level," said Robert Marick, vice president of marketing for WarnerActive. "`Where's Waldo? at the Circus' is a high-quality, well-designed product that fulfills the true promise of CD-ROM -- combining great sound, strong animation and compelling graphics to create an entertaining storyline and activities that change each time the game is played."
There are five levels of difficulty in the game's four different circus environments. Children are challenged by audio and visual problems introducing basic concepts of geometry, exchange, measurement, patterns and relationships.
Gaming features include:
o High replayability and variable outcomes in all key areas
o Educational exercises that give children challenging learning
experiences
o Help from Waldo and Wizard Whitebeard to assist children in
completing exercises and provide entertaining explanations
o Search-and-find screens with scrolling navigation
