Abstract :

Approximately 250,000 elderly people suffer from a hip fracture each year. As many as 70% nursing home residents die from complications of a hip fracture. Complete recuperation for these people becomes improbable because of fracture-related illnesses. Nursing assessment helps a lot in preparing patients suffering from a hip fracture for surgery. Moreover, nurses should monitor patients' early movement after surgery and expert care is imperative to prevent post-operation complications.
