Abstract :

The sound of female orgasm has been used in numerous pop music songs, from hip-hop to Belgian new beat. It also is frequently used in male pornography to represent the quality and quantity of female pleasure. This is often juxtaposed besides the male 'money shot' which is a visual representation of male pleasure. This raises the question of whether the capture and reproduction of the female orgasm is an effort to mimic rapture or whether it is an effort to contain rapture.
