Abstract :

An investigation of the genomic imprinting in mammals was conducted. Results revealed that autosomal genes are inherited from two parents in active forms. The organism consequently becomes functionally hemizygous for imprinted genes. However, parent-conflict hypothesis derived provides several implications. Imprinting plays an essential role in regulating the rate of fetal development.
