Ulbricht for Arms For East Germans Lauds ‘Flagbearer of Peace The Great Stalin’ BERLIN,' June 6 (A.P.).—East German Deputy Premier Walter Ulbricht told East Germany today that it must rearm at top speed at the side of "the great Soviet people and the flagbearer of peace, the great Stalin.” Moscow's most trusted German agent declared in an East Berlin speech that the “armed defense of our homeland must be organ¬ ized” to block the West's “enslave¬ ment of all Genmany.” Mr. Ulbricht, Deputy Premier but acting head of the Soviet Zone government during a reported tem¬ porary illness of Chancellor Otto Grotewohl, also warned that the Communist security belts around West Berlin, and along the West German frontier, would be drawn tighter. Mr. Ulbricht spoke to an assem¬ blage of East German railway workers after returning from Leipzig, where he reviewed armed formations of the 2,000,000-strong Communist Free German Youth (FDJ i last week end.
