Abstract :

Bayesian modeling framework estimates basic reproduction numbers of multiple serotypes of Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli and reconstruction of infection dynamics of these serotypes through a compartmental model quantifies their risk in the population. Incorporation of different sensitivity levels for detection of different serotypes enable to evaluate their potential influence on the estimation of basic reproduction numbers.
