Abstract :

Cadmium analytes in the presence of isobaric polyatomic ions such as MoO+/Mo+ ions were readily determined using multiple linear regression and principal components analysis. The two multivariate calibration methods were applied in an inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry analysis of a MoO+-Cd+ system. The results indicated that increasing the amount of interfering ions did not affect the identification of cadmium.
