Abstract :

A longitudinal assessment shows that demographic and clinical factors could help identify youth with bipolar spectrum disorder at significantly greatest propensity for sexual risk behaviors. Hypomanic symptoms can be linked to the greatest propensity for these behaviors. The potential protective function of family environment against these behaviors is also highlighted.
