Abstract :

A clinical trial to treat Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) in overweight and obese adults by multivitamin supplementation and food-related behavioral activation therapy was carried out in four groups – placebo with and without therapy and supplements with and without therapy for a period of 12 months. The trial revealed no reduction in the MDD episodes in patients with therapy or supplements. Therefore, these interventions did not prove useful for MDD.
