Abstract :

The UK Conservative Party continues to receive the lion's share of corporate donations, but the Labor Party has begun to make inroads with traditional Conservative contributors. Conservatives have relied on Labor's poor image to hold onto its base of corporate and wealthy contributors, but these groups have started to turn towards Labor. The UK's voluntary donation system should perhaps be changed to encompass more state financing, since excessive amounts of money are flowing to both parties under the existing system.
