Abstract :

Burnt and incorporated cotton stubble applied to soil and its effect on the recovery of fertiliser nitrogen, lint yield, and organic matter levels was studied over a three year period. The amount of light fraction carbon in the stubble-incorporated soils soil was almost double that in the stubble-burnt soil.
