Abstract :

Research reveals that treadmill exercise is more metabolically efficient for men recovering from heart attacks than rowing ergometry. Results are based on measuring oxygen consumption, respiratory exchange ration, and rates of perceived exertion at individualized target heart rates for 11 men given beta-blockade medication.
