Abstract :

Parents' decisions to allow their teenage children to consume alcohol during COVID-19 lockdowns are discussed. Social isolation during COVID-19 lockdowns might have promoted the ritual of happy hour during concentrated family time at home. The impact of alcohol on brain development during adolescence is described, along with the importance of screening teens for alcohol use.
