Abstract :

The recent trends in rural-urban differences in age-adjusted mortality rates overall in the U.S. from 1999 to 2019 are examined. Results indicate that rural residents experienced greater mortality and disparity between rural and large metropolitan areas tripled from 1999 to 2019.
