Abstract :

The extent to which COVID-19 vaccine apathy, rather than hesitancy, may result in population undervaccination is discussed. From a perspective based on the marketing concept Elaboration Likelihood Model, vaccine apathy can be addressed by focusing on low-involvement populations. Tailored messaging can also be developed.
