Abstract :

A pragmatic randomized controlled trial was conducted to determine if participating in a 12 week supervised group exercise program for women during treatment for early stage breast cancer with a six-month follow-up period provides them with functional and physiological benefits. Results suggest that supervised group exercise in addition to usual care improves their quality of life through functional and physiological benefits at the end of the 12-week program and at the six-month follow-up.
