Abstract :

Incorporating local knowledge into socioeconomic programs requires the close collaboration of both academic and developmental aspects. Academic, which focuses on human ecology and ethnoscience, can inform developmental approaches such as participation and agriculture. This collaboration can provide effective programs that unite cultural tenets and practical processes.
