Abstract :
The article discusses the uptake and costs of hypofractionated whole breast irradiation (WBI) in insured patients with early-stage breast cancer. The patients were classified into two cohorts: the hypofractionation-endorsed cohort included older patients without prior chemotherapy and the hypofractionation-permitted cohort included younger patients. The findings indicated that hypofractionated WBI after breast-conserving surgery increased in women with commercial health care plans.
