Abstract :

Marketers are using focus groups and on-line surveys to determine whether the Internet is an effective advertising medium for particular companies. In 1996, more than 100,000 businesses operate Internet sites while only 20% of the population is on-line. Many marketers use log data from Internet accounts to determine their target customers.
