Abstract :

Plasmon resonances and the plasmon-induced field enhancement (FE) in sodium nanoring dimmers were investigated by time-dependent density functional theory (DFT). For larger seperation the optical absorption, the induced charge response and the frequency dependent current demonstrated the presence of two optical absorption. It was also observed that with the decrease of the gap distance, the charge transfer plasmon modes emerged in the nanoring dimmers; FE induced by any plasmon modes decreases in the gap region.
