Abstract :

The article describes the investigation of the effect of the ecosystems of rice plantations on association between endophytic bradyrhizobia and different rice cultivars to understand the evolution of the endophytic symbiosis of bradyrhizobia. Six bradyrhizobial strains were isolated from rice grown in a crop rotational system. Thai bradyrhizobial strains promoted rice growth of Thai rice cultivars better than the Japanese bradyrhizobial strains, indicating that the rice cultivars possessed characteristics that governed rice-bacterium associations.
