Olympic Games

The Olympic Games is an international sports festival that features hundreds of competitions in dozens of sports and involves thousands of athletes representing countries from all over the world. The goal of the Olympics is to encourage the practice of sports around the globe and promote world peace through sports. The Olympics hosts events held in a different location in the summer and winter every four years.

More than eleven thousand athletes representing National Olympic Committees (NOCs) from 205 countries participated in the Rio Summer Olympics in 2016 in Brazil. Three thousand athletes representing ninety-one NOCs took part in the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Games in South Korea.
